Ron Paul Comments on Bob Barr - June 12, 2008

On the morning of June 12th, CNN Newsroom reporter John Roberts asked Ron the following question: Congressman, what do you think of Bob Barr? Does he faithfully represent the values of the Libertarian Party?

Ron Paul: I think so. It doesn't mean that you can look at his voting record like you look at mine and say there was never any infraction. That doesn't mean that he can't represent these values. He's saying the things he should be saying. He's joined the Libertarian Party and he presents these views and he talks our language. So I do really believe that he can have a very positive effect in this campaign and let the people know that limited government is a very, very important message and that people will have a chance. That gives everybody a choice in the matter.

Bob Barr will be speaking here in Houston this coming Sunday, July 20th. When you vote this coming November in Texas, there will be three candidates on the ballot for President: John McCain, Barack Obama & Bob Barr. This is your opportunity to find out for yourself whether Bob is the real deal. Please take this opportunity to meet the most freedom oriented choice Texans can vote for in 2008!

    2008 Candidate - US Congress CD22
My Pastor and Friend of Triumph Church in Sugarland gave a sermon on the November elections today. He said what any good preacher wouldsay, "You need to Pray about it". Then you should look at all the contenders for a particular position, like TX-CD-22 and research what they are for and or against, then choose the best one for the job. So come to the reception for our Presidential Contender and listen to what he has to say. We are pretty sure we will be able to make it.

Let me know the minute you have a location. I have an extensive personal list I want to get the word out to. I think I can get 15-20 new faces there, maybe more. Guy: can we talk about getting me a minute or two on the program as the candidate for Senator?

    •  Great job Guy, getting it organized on such short notice!
    •  Bob Barr is a very frank and honest leader for our country, and if his politics have changed as much as we would believe, he has a real shot at making a real impact on the Republicrats this fall. It was also great that he was available before and after to speak with the attendees individually. We need to really spread the word as far and fast as possible. 15% in the polls gives him access to the sanctioned national debates. Given the support he already has, 15% is very attainable. Support all our Libertarian candidates from now until the last vote has been cast in November and we can change the world!
