Tuesday, Oct. 6 is the National Night Out (NNO) crime and drug prevention event for Texas. I don't know if it's too late to register with the City of Sugar Land or not. Regardless, today I'll post invitations on our neighbors doors for a meet and greet. We live on a cul-de-sac and will set up table and chairs and offer light refreshments from 6pm to 8pm.

I agree with Glen Beck who recently spoke of the importance of knowing your neighbors. We'll take this opportunity to meet two new families on our block and rekindle old acquaintance's with neighbors I haven't visited since IKE - pretty pitiful on my part.

I look forward to introducing myself as a 912'er, a Tea Party guy and a GOOOH supporter, in hope of meeting other like minded Americans.
