Nationwide protest against the Federal Reserve Banks and System and for sound money.

The Federal Reserve is NOT a government entity and is responsible for the nation's economic boom and bust cycle (e.g. the housing market bubble followed by it's collapse), for inflation which is essentially a tax on the poor and middle classes, for funding unconstitutional and unjust wars, and for the current economic crisis.

YOUR hard-earned federal income tax dollars go to pay the interest on the federal government's debt to a PRIVATELY owned bank (the Fed!), which then PROFITS from YOUR loss.

Please join us in front of the Pittsburgh Federal Reserve Building Downtown (717 Grant st) to educate the public about the Fed and gain support for Texas Rep. Ron Paul's HR 1207: The Federal Reserve Transparency Act to audit the Fed (Senate version is S 604: The Federal Reserve Sunshine Act of 2009, introduced by VT Sen. Bernie Sanders) and Rep. Paul's HR 833: The Federal Reserve Board Abolition Act.

Participants can meet up at the Fed at Noon, or alternatively, meet at 11:30AM at St Stanislaus Kostka Church in The Strip, Pittsburgh's historic shopping district, where parking space is cheaper and more plentiful than in Downtown, and then march to the Fed Bldg to meet others, while distributing literature about the Federal Reserve and information on HR 1207/S 604 and HR 833 to shoppers.

Hey all - For all who are interested in the 3 upcoming Tea Party / End The Fed / Bailout Protests later this month and want to make signs are welcome to come over and use our supplies, etc. (because there's no way I can make enough myself).

I'm thinking of using a projector to shine text or whatever on posterboard, which can be traced out with a sharpie, then filled in later with whatever you like, marker, paint, etc.

Since the Sunday @ 2PM time slot seemed to work well last time we'll try that again.

So get some posterboard (like $.50 at walmart) or some foamboard (~$3-8 depending on size)...not *too* big in case it's windy...come with a graphic or slogan and we'll make some signs that will get noticed!

If anyone is interested in or is already making a big banner or two please get in touch with me...that would be a good thing to have.

Hope to see you all!

Hi all - those that responded to the doodle poll indicated that Sunday @ 2-4 PM would work out the best to organize for the upcoming Tea Parties (including RTR/ETF's and Glenn Beck's 9-12/wesurroundthem project's).

My printer's are acting up, so if anybody has handouts/pamphlets/signs to be printed up get them to me ASAP so I can have enough.

Hope to see you all this weekend!

Hey guys - I just heard about this on Zombo's friday morning radio show on 88.3...Harry Shearer is very talented, and appearing at Pitt for free on Monday!

Plus, we get the benefit of rubbing elbows with the ACLU and can bring up the issue of the MCIA report that unfairly lumps us in with racist militants.

I know I'm going if at all possible, hope to see you folks there!
