Calling All Candidates

We need YOU to run for office!!

Change doesn't happen if we don't make it happen.

There will be a few local offices open for election this fall. There will also be 7 Congressional and 1 Senate seat up for grabs. While my general council is to run for an office within your grasp, this is a unique year. I have no qualms of running multiple candidates in a race. In fact, that would only serve to strengthen the perception of the voters, that they have a real choice.

If you're unsure or leary about putting yourself out there, I understand. That's why I'm here to help. If you become a candidate for the LP, I will work tirelessly to see that you are successful in your quest to bring real change to Louisiana.

While you can run as a Republican, Democrat or Independent, I encourage you to run as a Libertarian. Doing so will allow you to tap into the disaffected and disgruntled voters who either stay home or have to hold their noses and vote for the lesser of two evils. You will show them, they don't have to do that anymore.

As an LP candidate, you will have the full support of the officers and staff of the party, and it's volunteers. When we work for one candidate, we will work for all of our candidates. You will also benefit from the canvassing efforts on behalf of the Barr/Root campaign, as our canvassers will also be introducing voters to YOU as their choice for your local office.

You will benefit by any media buys or free media mentions the Barr/Root campaign gets as well.

Barr and Root will also be supporting our Congressional, Senate, and local candidates with fund raising appearances and campaign stops.

People who are turning back to politics to favor Barr, or who are branching out and continuing the Ron Paul Revolution, will be hungry and thirsty and eager for more. They want a choice EVERYWHERE - not just for President.

YOU can be that choice.

We have resources from around the country, non partisan experts and truly successful Libertarian officeholders to help you in your quest.

True, no LP candidate has yet been elected to public office in Louisiana. (we do have one official serving on a private water board, and there are over 600 LP officials serving in other states)

True, there will be many who will say it is a lost cause and you can't possibly win.

But IF it were possible, wouldn't YOU like to make it happen?

The electorate has never been more ripe for real change. Louisiana has never been a more fertile breeding ground of discontent with big government and welfare state dependency.

NOW is the time to strike while the iron is hot.

YOU have already shown your love of liberty, principle, and the Constitution.

WHO better to make the case to your friends and neighbors that they have a way OUT of this mess?

You've likely already talked to death those closest to you about Ron Paul and the Constitution.

Now YOU can show them that you are willing to do the hard work, to do what it takes, to make things right.
