Update as well as a Call to Action

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry that I haven't been able to schedule our weekly LP meetings at Panera, there has just been so much going on lately. The biggest news is what's been happening with the Taxpayer Protection Amendment. Most of you are already familiar with this, so I won't go into it again. However, I would like to make a call to action.

The TBRC will be holding their final vote on the TPA Friday April 4th in Tallahassee. It would be hard for me to overstate the importance of attending this meeting. We need as many people there as possible. We have some very solid reliable information that our opposition (taxpayer funded lobbyists, Jacksonville Journey, etc.) will be out in full force at this meeting. I will state this as simple as I can, when it comes to the discussion of taxation... we need to monopolize that conversation.

Let's be honest, if you're receiving this email then you are already a Libertarian or have very strong libertarian leanings. Either way, I know that you'll agree with me when I say that the Libertarian Party is the only political party out there that is truly on the correct side of the taxation issue. Democrats want to tax, tax and spend, spend. Republicans want to spend, spend and tax, tax. That tax comes back to you in the form of inflation. Either way, the taxpayer gets screwed. But now we can make a difference.

The Taxpayer Protection Amendment would put a limit not only on taxation (by requiring voter approval for taxes) but also on spending (by implementing a true budget cap for both State and Local governments).

Some of you have already agreed to go to Tallahassee with us on Friday morning, but we really do need everyone. I know this may be asking a lot, and believe me I would not be doing so if it were not for a truly great cause. But for all of you, that could take off from work, miss class, or be away from your families for just 1 day in Tallahassee, I promise you that history will remember your efforts.

Please contact me for more information about this event.

Sincerely,
Jeff Hunt
