If you support more freedom and less government on every issue, then you're definitely in the right place. The Austin Libertarian Meetup Group works to organize liberty-minded people separate from and outside of the bureaucracy of any official campaigns or political parties. Ron Paul supporters, liberty-minded D's and R's, and independents, are welcome, although the group mostly tends to attract Libertarian Party members. That's no surprise, since the organizer, Wes Benedict, is the Executive Director of the Libertarian Party of Texas. Benedict states, "I declare independence from my bosses on the State Libertarian Executive Committee while working through this Meetup group."
The LSLA is composed of all 51 state (plus DC) chairs of the Libertarian Party. They meet annually, and this year is Austin's turn!
