Have kids? Want kids? Like kids?

The Illinois Policy Institute and the Cato Institute a presenting lunch and a lively discussion regarding the latest in school choice research!

School choice is a hot topic around the country, and it's also often hotly debated: Is it practical? Is it realistic? What is the ultimate impact of charter schools, tax credits, and vouchers on education?

On June 11, we'll be exploring a different question: What if school choice is a massive money saver as well? The answer may surprise you. Join Andrew J. Coulson, the Cato Institute's leading education scholar, and Collin Hitt, the Illinois Policy Institute's education policy specialist, for a discussion of two new and groundbreaking studies on the impact of education tax credits.

The luncheon, to be held at 190 South LaSalle Street in Chicago, starts with a cocktail and beverage reception at 11:30, followed by a program, lunch, and interactive discussion that runs from 12:00-1:30 p.m.

Tickets are limited and are $35 per person. This should be a very engaging afternoon!

RSVP at info@illinoispolicyinstitute.org or leave a message with your name, number attending, and contact information for Heather Wilhelm at 312-346-5700, ext. 201.

I will grab any handouts that are available and bring them to the next LP Chicago meeting in July.

I'd like to attend, but the chances are slim. I'm waiting for a commercial mortgage to close, and won't have any money until it does. Realistically, it's not likely to be done tomorrow morning. :( Let me know how it was, next time you see me. (Of course, I support a separation of school and state, so perhaps it will be preaching to the choir...)

I am so mad that I cannot attend this lecture. I would love to get more information on it. Where should I go to get that?
