Announcing a new meeting for Utah Freedom Activists!

What: Founding Meeting

When: Wednesday, April 30, 7:00 PM

Where: (A location for this meeting hasn't been chosen yet)

Who should come: Those who want to participate in the formation of the Utah Freedom Activists, or think they may want to be involved with this group.

Meeting Description: Meeting place TBD, but probably in Orem someplace. Feel free to suggest a location.

The purpose of this meeting is to form the Utah Freedom Activists group. After introducing ourselves and our individual purposes for getting involved, we'll discuss and decide how we want to get things started.

I've described some of my thoughts on how to get started in a blog post entitled, oddly enough, "Getting Started" (http://freeamerica.ws... . Our greatest problem was aptly summed up two centuries ago by Goethe, who wrote, "None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free." I propose that we should initially focus on government's tangible victims: those who have property seized, are imprisoned for victimless non-crimes, are assaulted by police, etc. We want to do everything we can to publicize the tangible harm done by government. The objectives are to change public perceptions so that government is seen more and more as criminal in nature, and to find ways of obtaining justice for government's victims.

A few people have mentioned problems with this date or time. If everyone can post times when they would be able to attend, maybe we can find a date and time that works for the greatest number of people.

For me, any day of the week other than Monday is OK. A Tuesday meeting would have to be no earlier than 7:00.
