Here are some more recommended resources:
Start Your Own Small Newspaper Publishing Business http://www.newspaper-... This could be useful for our newsletter. No Treason: The Constitution of No Authority http://jim.com/treaso... Written by abolitionist Lysander Spooner in 1870, this essay has been called "perhaps the most subversive document ever penned in America." What makes it subversive is that Spooner insists on applying to government exactly the same standards one would apply to any other group of people. He pretty much destroys the "social contract" theory of government legitimacy in the process. The Politics of Obedience: The Discourse of Voluntary Servitude by Etienne de la Boetie (1548) http://mises.org/roth... A classic that discusses some of the important ideas behind nonviolent struggle -- in particular, that the power of rulers derives from the voluntary cooperation and support of their subjects. |
