The purpose of this meeting is to form the Utah Freedom Activists group. After introducing ourselves and our individual purposes for getting involved, we'll discuss and decide how we want to get things started.
I've described some of my thoughts on how to get started in a blog post entitled, oddly enough, "Getting Started" (http://freeamerica.ws.... Our greatest problem was aptly summed up two centuries ago by Goethe, who wrote, "None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free." I propose that we should initially focus on government's tangible victims: those who have property seized, are imprisoned for victimless non-crimes, are assaulted by police, etc. We want to do everything we can to publicize the tangible harm done by government. The objectives are to change public perceptions so that government is seen more and more as criminal in nature, and to find ways of obtaining justice for government's victims.
