Plans are being finalized for Libertarian Party presidential candidate Bob Barr's first visit to Indiana this election year. Barr will appear at a public event on the campus of Valparaiso University at 6:30 p.m., Friday, October 3rd.

"We're very excited," noted Law Libertarians of Valparaiso University president Jonathan Morris. "We've been working hard to bring Bob Barr to this area since his nomination in May. More people need to be exposed to his common sense approach to government. We're pleased that our efforts are assisting with getting that message out."

Barr's on-campus remarks to students, faculty and the public will be followed by a Meet and Greet with the candidate at Pesto's Italian Restaurant in Valparaiso.

We're set! We're going to meet at the Amarillo Roadhouse in Schererville. I've set it up for the backroom beginning at 6:30 p.m. for those who want to eat. If you're up for just discussion and drinks, plan for around 7:00 p.m.

We're going to discuss the recap of the LP National Convention and where the party goes from here. Checking out the blogosphere, the Barr nomination is stirring up quite a bit of discussion. It should prove for a fun discussion!
