We have election coming up on Tuesday, and many more local races than I could possibly follow. I'd like to hear from any local Libertarians with recommendations on either measures or on candidates.

The Libertarian Party of San Mateo County of course has officially opposed all the local tax measures, and we wrote the ballot arguments against the San Carlos and San Mateo sales tax hikes. Are there other measures that aren't as obvious we should be concerned about? Send me your suggestions, I will summarize by City or District and send it back out on Sunday night, in time for you to give a last minute reminder to your friends.

In local races, our own Jack Hickey, currently a board member for the Sequoia Healthcare District, is running for Redwood City School Board. Are there other libertarians or friends of small government running for other positions that we should know about? Let me know.

Remember, even if you aren't sure who to vote for, make your best guess, because you can be sure fans of big government won't let a little uncertainty get in the way of trying to run your life.
