I've looked into it briefly, but haven't done enough research to know if I personally put large amounts of credibility into it. I won't dismiss it outright, but I'm not going to jump to a personal conclusion that he was indeed lying unless I've gathered enough evidence myself to both support and defend that claim.

"The country" is not a thinking entity, it is a collection of people that all have their own beliefs, and they do not agree unanimously that Bush is a liar. Many agree that he is, and many do not. That does not constitute the usage of the term "the country" to try and describe what a less-than-unanimous group of people think.

What administration hasn't concealed records? You've also ignored my response about past Presidents that have "lied" us into war.

Just asking Nick. While I despite Bush as President I always felt that Cheney did actually believe in small government. He's a social conservative, not a libertarian, but I do believe he's a true fiscal conservative. I have no knowledge he didn't lie and am making no such claim. But I always saw the Left with him as long on accusation and short on evidence. So I'm just asking what exactly you think he lied about. And I do realize you phrased it "I don't doubt" not "I know" which means it's your opinion rather then you believe it was proven. So anyway like I said, I'm just asking.

And BigAllen, I'm not responding to any posts from you on this topic unless you want to make a real argument, rather then just repeat the endless accusations of the Left on the subject as you have done so far. I am asking HOW we know the accusations are true, not what they are.

I have no desire to prove you wrong; I just don't want you to be so one-track-minded about everything. You seem to think that no other administration, especially a Democrat one, does bad things, and that Bush is our first bad President. Your entire theme on this message board is "Bush is evil, Cheney is evil, Republicans are evil, Democrats are made out of cotton candy." When I comment about the flaws in the Democrats, you don't respond to those. You instead try to reinforce how bad you think Republicans are. We here all know how bad Republicans are. We want you to open your mind just a bit and see how equally bad Democrats are. If you accept this fact then you don't need to answer.
